AIGA New York’s new site looks great. You can definitely see Khoi Vinh’s influence.

Indie Rock meets Infographics. This stuff is brilliant.
Marian Bantjes on the London Olympic logo, from the SpeakUp discussion (in the comments…no permalinks…scroll down):
I really don’t think legibility matters here…With something as heavily promoted as the Olympics, in all honesty anything would work. You throw it at people long enough and hard enough and they’ll recognize it and even buy the t-shirts, no matter what it looks like. The interesting part of this as an identity is how they’ll be able to play with those shapes, and after 5 years probably any irregular triangular multicoloured graphic in London will come to signify the Olympics.
I have to say when I first saw this logo I thought…. WTF?!??!… but after reading Armin and Marian’s thoughts I’m convinced it’s a great system. Like Armin, I still don’t love the logo, but at least it’s not boring.
